My Tiger is somewhere in Tennessee
FedEx tells me that my copy of MacOS X Tiger is a mere four States away, and will arrive this Friday "sometime before 4:30 pm." A good hour and a half before it officially goes on sale. So much for the notion of getting it before the launch date, though.
Yeah, that's right, I ordered Tiger after all. For all my yacking about the idea of getting a new laptop, I've decided to wait a while longer. And with that being the case, grabbing Tiger by the tail seemed the sensible thing to do. My existing laptop will be worth a bit more with Tiger on it when I do go to sell it, so I'll likely get some of my Tiger investment back.
The new Tiger features I'm most looking forward to, ranked in order of importance:
1) speed.
2) speed.
3) speed.
4) speed.
5) I was going to try to make a joke here, but when it comes down to it, speed.
