In lieu of actual commentary, let's talk about getting old and the weather...

You know, I'll never get used to the concept of the weather changing so drastically with the calendar the way it does around here. I've put away the space heater just in time to have an air conditioner installed in my bedroom. What I wouldn't give to return to the consistent year-round weather from whence I came. Oh well, not in the cards. If only I could just import the weather and bring it up here with me.

And yeah, it must have been a slow news week for me to be leading off talking about the weather.

Being the special guest on the morning show on KROQ on Monday morning was a new experience for me. I've done too many interviews to count for newspapers, television, magazines...but I've never been on a live broadcast before. A nice lift for west coast business, and hey, it's KROQ! I've actually heard of them. I was hoping I'd get the chance to talk a little bit about music, but as usual, LoadPod was all they really cared about. That's the way it goes. And it turns out that radio likes to copycat itself just as much as television does, as there are radio stations in smaller markets trying to book me already. Good thing I'm not busy right now or anything (there was a hint of sarcasm in my voice there, if you didn't hear it).

Let's see, what else? I've got gray hairs. Many of them. Since when am I going gray? This industry isn't that stressful. And my friend who was in the hospital is back in the hospital, so I have to go visit him, although there's the possibility that he might get released tomorrow, so I can actually visit him at home instead of at the hospital, which would be nice for everyone involved, I think.

So I'm going gray and I'm visiting friends in the hospital. You'd think I was eighty-two, not twenty-eight. Actually, if the gray hair thing actually ends up happening at the speed at which it appears to be happening, I think it'll be funny. At least I'll stop getting the "you look too young to be running your own company" remarks.

And when the novelty wears off, I'll then have an excuse to dye it any color I want. Enjoy your weekend.
