Rise of the new guys: MacUsingEducators.com moves forward
MacUsingEducators has gained the services of three new contributing educators, all in one weekend. Not bad, eh?
The difficulty, of course, with a site published by a team of educators is that educators just happen to be some of the most overworked, overly dedicated folks on the planet. It's difficult for any one educator to find the time to contribute consistently to a website (I was living proof of that back in mid-2004 when it came to publishing this site), so there's definite strength in numbers. The MUE team now consists of eleven educators plus me, so here's hoping for more good Macs-in-education content over there as 2005 progresses.
Also, one of the long-time MUE team members, Kelly Dumont, has begun publishing his own Macs-in-education blog, in addition to his MUE efforts. You can find Kelly's blog here.
Finally, if you're an educator (or you otherwise have some insight into Macs in education) and you'd like to join the MacUsingEducators team, just holler at me, as we can always use even more thoughtful voices over there. Macs in education is bigger than the Mac itself, bigger than Apple, bigger than anything else we like to discuss and debate on the Mac Web, because unlike all the other issues, when it comes to Macs in schools, kids' futures are directly on the line. I just wish I could do more for the cause. Perhaps with your help, together we can.
